A feature that has been in Intune for a while but, in my opinion, could use some attention is “Automatically capture diagnostics for Autopilot.”

With “Automatically Capture Device Diagnostics,” you can automatically capture diagnostics when devices experience a failure during the Autopilot process.

To upload diagnostics from a client, the following URLs need to be accessible.

An important note to mention is that is dat The diagnostic collection is stored for 28 days and then deleted. Each device can have up to 10 collections stored at one time.

But how and where do I enable this now?

Fortunately, that is very easy! Within Intune, navigate to Tenant Administration > Device diagnostics.

There are two buttons that you need to enable. The first one is:

This enables you to create device diagnostics for devices in the first place. Enable this one!

The second one is the setting that ensures an Autopilot failure automatically uploads a device diagnostics package under the device entry in Intune.

The device diagnostics can be found under Device > Windows > The device that you autopilot > Device diagnostics.

The device package includes components from the following Windows settings.
